Temecula, CA – Packinghouse 28410 Vincent Moraga Drive, Temecula, CA, 92390 Built in 1985, the Temecula packinghouse is the largest avocado packing and cooling facility in California. The 60,000 square foot facility is Calavo’s largest packinghouse for regular and special packs. The building also houses new Thermal Tech forced-air ripening rooms with cooling and holding of up to 85,000 cartons of packed fresh avocados. The packinghouse employs an average of 60 Calavo associates. The Southern California District Management staff office is also located there. |

Santa Paula, CA – Packinghouse 655 W. Main Street, Santa Paula, CA 93061 The Santa Paula packinghouse is Calavo’s oldest packing facility still in operation. The 53,000 square foot building was built in 1955. SPPH packs regular and special packs and can provide cooling and holding of up to 15,000 cartons of packed fresh avocados. The packinghouse employs an average of 85 associates. Our Northern California District Management staff offices also operate from this facility. |

Santa Paula, CA – Value-Added Depot California 15765 West Telegraph Road, Santa Paula, CA, 93060 The California VAD was built in 1974 as Calavo’s first guacamole processing plant. The new, state-of-the-art processing facility built in Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico in 2004 allowed Calavo to take advantage of this property for it’s fresh sales needs. The 70,000 square foot building houses new Thermal Tech forced-air ripening rooms for the ProRipeVIP® ripening program utilizing Acoustic Firmness Sorting (AFS) equipment, cooling, and the ability to hold up to 170,000 cartons of packed fresh avocados, diversified fresh produce, and processed avocado products. An average of 50 Calavo associates are located at the CA VAD including shipping and receiving, IT, and logistics departments. |

Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico – Packinghouse Libramiento Oriente, 2650 Col. Quirindavra, Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico Calavo de Mexico\'s fresh packinghouse was built in 1998. It is strategically located in the core of the avocado growing region of Uruapan. CDM is the largest, most modern and best equipped avocado industrial plant in Mexico. The 50,000 square foot building was built on a 243,000 square foot parcel of land to allow for growth. CDM’s pre-cool and cooling capacity provides room for 67,500 of packed fresh avocados destined for the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. The company provides employment for 125 local families. |

Uruapan, Michoacan, Mexico – Processing Plant Calavo\'s new, state-of-the-industry processing plant was built in 2004, replacing the older facility in Santa Paula, California (recently remodeled for the California VAD). The 90,000 square foot facility is built on a secured 5 acre parcel of land near our Uruapan packinghouse. The gleaming, stainless steel production room manufactures fresh, ultra-high pressure guacamoles, frozen guacamoles, pulp, and IQF avocado halves. Tremendous space is dedicated to pre-cooling, avocado ripening, storage and holding of processed products. From Uruapan, Calavo ships finished products to distribution centers in the United States and exports products to Canada, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. Calavo employs about 300 associates at this facility. |

Swedesboro, NJ – Value-Added Depot New Jersey 100 Dartmouth Dr., Suite 150, Swedesboro,NJ 08085 The New Jersey VAD is located in the heart of New Jersey’s produce shipping and receiving terminals. This 78,000 square foot expandable facility houses forced-air ripening rooms, ProRipeVIP® Acoustic Firmness Sensor equipment, cooling and storage for fresh packed avocados, diversified produce and processed products. A freezer has been added through expansion for frozen processed products. The New Jersey VAD services customers in the Northeast, Southeast and mid central U.S. |

Garland, TX – Value-Added Depot Texas 2600 McCree Road, #95, Garland, TX 75041 The Texas VAD is located in Garland, TX right outside of Dallas giving Calavo the ability to service customers with California and Mexican-grown avocados in the great state of Texas, west to New Mexico, north to Kansas City and St. Louis, and east to Atlanta. Our new facility provides Calavo with 120,000 square feet for ProRipeVIP® Acoustic Firmness Sensor equipment, avocado ripening rooms, cooling and storage for packed fresh avocados, diversified produce, and processed avocado products. |

Nogales, AZ – Distribution Center 41 Kipper Street, Suites B&C, Rio Rico, AZ 85648 Calavo Nogales is a packer, shipper, broker and distributor operation. These buildings contains cooling, holding and ripening operations for products such as avocados, tomatoes, bell peppers, and chiles. Calavo exports products to Mexico and imports from Mexico into the United States. Seven associates handle multiple functions of sales, procurement, quality control and consolidation services. |
